The Adirondack Trust Company is in the midst of their third Autumn of Giving Match Campaign which runs from October 1st- October 31 and raises money for Adirondack Trust's Community Fund, established to meet the needs of local charitable program. The crux of these fundraising efforts is that the bank matches dollar for dollar every donation made for the month and works with local businesses in designing fun promotions and specials to engage the community. So on any given day in October anything from buying a gallon of Benjamin Moore paint at Allerdice to a piece of jewelry at Impressions could result in a donation to Adirondack Trust's Community Fund and then go on to be matched by the bank itself.
Last year the Autumn of Giving Campaign raised an impressive $46,198 from the public and business partners that they then matched, making a grand total of $92, 397 for ATC's Community Fund and local nonprofits. In 2014, 23 of those nonprofits were awarded grants as a result of the Autumn of Giving, click here to take a peek at which organizations were awarded checks and what the funds helped to do. You can help support the Autumn of Giving this year by frequenting one of the retailers taking part in the campaign, or by coming to Longfellow's tonight for an 'Evening of Autumn Celebration'.
