We've been loving learning about the colorful histories of some of our favorite homes around town and today there is another great piece of history from Roohan Realty's most recent Centennial Series profile. Mary Wiltsie Fuller spent her summers in this house, built by her father Joseph Fuller in 1870. Mary was a pretty spectacular woman and left quite a legacy, having founded The Wiawaka Center for Women in Lake George, in 1903. It was founded to be a retreat for female textile workers and made possible after a land donation from Mary's friend Katrina Trask; it is now the oldest and longest continuously operating retreat for women in America.
