Yes You CAN Wear White (jeans) Before Memorial Day

While we are done with seeing the frozen white stuff we are ready for some spring white in the form of crisp (or slightly torn) white denim. If you just quaked in your seat at the idea of wearing white before racing season is here, get over it. You CAN (and should) wear white in the spring, paired with a structured blazer, some great boots, a scarf and some color pop accessories. Now, the boots we are going to have to discuss another day because there are SO MANY options on that front, so today let's tackle the basic outfit. First, the jeans...

However you choose to wear it, boyfriend, skinny, ripped or high waisted, you will find a pair that suits you. l-r: Current/Elliott The Stiletto Jeans in sugar, MiH Marrakesh Kick Flare Jeans in white, (top right) Hudson Jeans 'Beth' Baby Bootcut Jeans (White Wash), and (bottom right) J. Crew's Stretch toothpick Cone Denim jean in white.

Now, if you are like us, you are ready to make a bonfire of your long puffy sleeping-bag-with-arms coat and dance around it maniacally (also getting warmth from the fire, it's still actually pretty cold out), so you need something to wear as a jacket without getting too jacket-y. Enter the blazer, in a nice schoolboy cut it has a refined silhouette that can go from the office to drinks at Boca Bistro with your bestie. Both of the ones pictured below are from J.Crew (hello the CHAMBRAY one is calling our name)...

With all this slick white you're going to need some poppy accessories, we love a nice big cuff and an infinity scarf, and we are still dipping our toes into the world of wearing hats beyond the six weeks of track season (and Derby Day, of course).
