A bite of this & a sip of that.. it has been one delicious week!

Thanks to a few new food and drink arrivals, it has been a delicious week here in Saratoga. We've been counting the days until TC Bakery on Henry Street introduced their new 'Lunch in Paris' menu and showed up promptly at noon today to sample the savory offerings & take them back to some hungry co-workers. Their menu is a short, but perfect variety of French classics. We snatched up the Croque Monsieur, Macaroni & Cheese a la France, Jambon Beurre and The Remy to take back to the Roohan Realty office where we had some very hungry realtors waiting. The smell alone in TC Bakery was enough to get our mouths watering and our order was filled quickly and packed up in a perfect little to-go box with handles (which had us dreaming about a spring time picnic in Congress Park with a little Rose.. soon enough!). Back at Roohan Realty, the Commercial Services Team got down and dirty, splitting up the sandwiches to try a little bit of everything.  We started with the Croque Monsieur which was a sinful delight- warm, bubbly gruyere cheese is melted on top of grilled 'Pan de Compagne' bread, just thick enough to hold this creation together & give a perfect crunch to each bite.

THE CROQUE MONSIEUR.. A MASTERPIECE.

THE CROQUE MONSIEUR.. A MASTERPIECE.

Inside is beautiful Niman Ranch ham, decadent Béchamel sauce, Herbs de Provence and whole grain mustard which cuts through the richness of the cheese and cream perfectly. Paired which classic Cornichones, this sandwich is nothing short of a masterpiece.

PLEASE EXCUSE THE PAPER TOWEL, BUT GETTING A PLATE WOULD HAVE TAKEN TOO LONG!

The Jambon Beurre transported us back to the summers we've spent in France, when you're eating a seemingly simple lunch and wonder how with just three ingredients it's so satisfying. With TC Bakery's homemade baguette, perfect ham and european style butter, (sourced from Vermont) calling this a ham sandwich would be sacre bleu!

OUR JAMBON BEURRE WAS EATEN TOO QUICKLY FOR A PICTURE.. BUT LOOKED EXACTLY LIKE THIS, MINUS THE RIBBON:)

Macaroni & Cheese was creamy and rich, with nutmeg and hints of cayenne pepper bringing out the nutty richness of the melted gruyere and aged cheddar cheese. Last, but certainly not least, we dove into The Remy, which features the classic sweet and savory combination of thinly sliced prosciutto, St Andres cheese and fig spread, topped with peppery wild argula on the TC Bakery Baguette. Every bite was crunchy, chewy heaven.

MEET THE REMY..

So lucky Saratogians, 'Lunch in Paris' will be offered every day, all day at TC Bakery (& all without crossing the pond!).

Up next.. working off our Croque Monsieur & washing it down with Clarity Juice by Syd..
