A Night of French Film, Fashion, Food and Fun, Friday May 15th at Saratoga Film Forum

French Film, Fashion, Food & Fun? Sounds fabulous! Timed to coincide with the prestigious annual Cannes Film Festival in France, Saratoga Film Forum is screening “Dior and I”, which takes viewers inside the House of Dior with a firsthand account of the creation of the 2012 collection designed by Raf Simons, in his first haute couture collection.  Melding the everyday, pressure-filled aspects of fashion design with mysterious echoes from the iconic brand’s past, “Dior and I” is also a colorful homage to the seamstresses who sew Simon’s vision (by hand, from start to finish)  (90 min, written and directed by Frederic Tcheng.)

Prior to the film, time for mingling, eating, drinking and making merry with friends and other film lovers. Scrumptious, authentic French food and desserts provided by TC Paris Bakery (72 Henry Street, Saratoga Springs), a lovely selection of cheeses from Putnam Market, and a selection of French wines and beer (cash bar).

Fashion! (Of Course)
