Cantina Cocktails for a Cause

It was the official kick-off to the Cantina Kids Fun Run on Wednesday night and Cantina Restaurant was packed with Saratogians coming out to have a great time, while supporting pediatric emergency services at Saratoga Hospital. A margarita was just the thing on this sticky May night and Jeff Ames was behind the bar tending to thirsty guests while Heath Ames greeted attendees at the door, looking gorgeous in a bright orange cocktail dress.

The Cantina owners are in their 8th year of organizing the Annual Kids Fun Run and their passion and charisma have made both the run and the annual kick-off party some of the most anticipated events of the year.

Several other happy party-goers on Wednesday were seen behind the bar taking a tipple or two, but celebrity bartenders Jared Cantanucci and Marcus Fuller worked the room all evening, joking and laughing with the crowd, while amassing tips for the Hospital. Enjoying the benefits of their service were their wives Amy and Julie, Bill and Susan Dake, Marlene and Mike Okby, Angelo and Kate Calbone, Linda Toohey, Barb Ferraro, Colleen Carlson, Alysa and Jay Arnold and Caroline Cardone and Stowe Burke.  DJ TRU had everyone up and dancing, proving there‚Äôs no better combination than good tequila and good music and we spotted several people busting a move, who shall remain nameless.

Guests devoured the delicious food like shrimp ceviche and crab cakes. Also showing their support for the evening were Jen and Kyle Perry, Dave and Stephanie Collins, Andi and Chris Dolinsky, Rebecca and Jamie Lawrence, Lisa Moser, Alex Willard and Marti Laird. Several of the same faces were spotted on Sunday morning, cheering on little runners on a wet, but very happy Fun Run. Congratulations to Heath and Jeff on another successful year!
