In our third round of Father's Day Gift Guides (see Parts 1 &2 here) Robin talks about what is on the list for her husband Matt.
When it comes to buying a gift for Matt, the classics always seem to work. I try to alternate between things he needs and things that are a bit of a splurge, that I know he wouldn't buy himself. For golf that means some Titleist AP2 clubs, with a side of PRO V1 balls. We end up doing a lot of socializing in the summer and a few nice pieces always seem to make the difference when we are hustling to head off somewhere, like one of his favorite Peter Millar Jackets, or a fun bowtie from Vineyard Vines (just make sure you know how to tie them...). I get in a new pair or two of Sperry's every summer because they get worn so much that come September they go right in the trash. For work, it is time to step it up a notch with this gorgeous T. Anthony briefcase, which matches the luggage I got him when we first started dating. He also always needs a new swimsuit and belt come summer and Ralph Lauren always has the basics down perfectly. Lastly, one of his favorites meals in town will be on the menu, Spaghetti and Meatballs from the Brook Tavern.
