Anyone that knows me would not consider me a proponent of the Winter season. I don't pray for snow or anticipate the cold brisk air that sweeps over our region for five long months.
Building snowmen and sipping hot cocoa doesn’t do it for me. But outerwear - yes, outwear is my thing. Coats, wraps, and oversized jackets, now that gets me excited for the season.
Styling tip || A look at outerwear
I do not discriminate when it comes to outerwear. I'll take it all; from a leather moto jacket to a tweed blazer, a lightweight trench, and a plaid driving coat. The options are endless.
I rationalize my insane collection of coats in a practical way - they can be worn countless times and layered over different pieces, offering contrasting looks. It's the icing on the cake, the ribbon wrapped around the gift, the final touch that pulls a look together.
Another reason I love outerwear is it covers you up. If you have on a basic outfit the right coat can instantly step up your game.
