We all have our go-to accessories. The necklace or earrings we wear on the daily or the sunglasses we can’t seem to live without.
Currently the brooch is having a moment. Whether it is worn alone or paired with a few fellow brooches, it’s an accessory that need not be overlooked.
Styling tip || Put a brooch (or two) on it
I snagged up this gold beetle brooch on sale at Banana Republic. The beetle makes for the perfect statement brooch. It’s unique enough to stand on it’s own and won’t go unnoticed if paired with multiple brooches. A way to add new life to a coat or clutch is to cluster a few pieces together. The versatility of a brooch goes without saying. You can place it on a lapel of a coat, a leather belt, or your favorite handbag.
For today’s look, I decided to pin the brooch on the neck of my turtleneck. It adds a pop of color with its high gloss finish to the all black ensemble.
A great source for unique and inexpensive brooches are consignment and vintage stores.
