The bright and the bold ||
With the start of Spring, we tend to see bright and bold prints making their way into our closets. Spring offers a resurgence of life and energy. We have an extra pep in our step, and we want our wardrobe to reflect this.
Styling tip || Working with bold prints
I love mixing and layering prints. Contrasting colors and textures offer a deliberate messy vibe that speaks to the season. If you aren't feeling this approach and would rather take a more conservative route, pair your bold piece with neutrals. For today's look my neutrals were navy and gold (yes, metallics can act as a neutral).
I took a fitted navy dress and wore it as my base layer. For footwear, I wanted to expose the toes as I opted for gold treaded sandals. The bold patterned jacket has nothing to compete with and acts as a statement piece for the look.
