1. Tell us about your earliest Saratoga memory.
Janet – Now you’re asking me to tell my age! Being from Albany, my first memory of Saratoga was in the 1970s at a Fifth Dimension concert at SPAC.
Jamie – Being from Saratoga that’s tough, as all my memories include Saratoga. However, one of the earliest has to be from the Beagle School playground.
2. The Saratoga Social was created to highlight the work of our local nonprofits. Which organization is most important to you?
The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is very close to our hearts as we have experienced the disease first-hand within our family. Hospice and Saratoga Hospital are also organizations we contribute to.
3. Which spot in town serves your favorite drink or dish?
Jamie – I just spent my anniversary at Salt & Char – it was the best steak I have ever had. My go-to is Sperry’s for their scallops and, of course, a glass of pinot grigio.
Janet – The Wine Bar. I love trying new wines that I may have not chosen for myself.
4. What are three things every host or hostess needs for entertaining?
How do we pick just three? Monogrammed or cute cocktail napkins, a fabulous cheese, meat and condiment spread (preferably from Putnam Market) and a fabulous bottle of wine (for yourself!).
5. What's the first app/website you open in the morning?
Janet – The Weather Channel app, and then email.
Jamie – Facebook! I have to see how many Likes my cute boys have gotten overnight!
6. "I consider Saratoga's greatest hidden gem to be..."
Jamie – Roma’s which is now on the out skirts of town – they definitely have the best subs around.
Janet – The Saratoga State Park has a lot to explore and if you like being outside has something for everyone.
