This Thanksgiving Skip the Multiplex and Get Your Groove On

One of the many blessings to be thankful for is the vibrant community of music Saratoga has to offer. There will be a ton of music in Saratoga during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend and here’s a list of my best bets. Skip the multiplex and get your groove on and I’ll see you at the show.

Rock On - Jim

Half Step and High Peaks Band at Putnam Den - 9:30 pm

Let out your noodle dancing self at ‘The Den’ while listening to local favorite jam bands jam the night away.

Annie & The Hedonists at Caffe Lena - 8 pm

Caffe Lena is a gem in this city for live music and if you haven’t been it’s a must see. Annie & the Hedonists combine a great lead singer with tight harmonies covering an eclectic mix of acoustic blues, vintage jazz, swing, and folk roots Americana. If you can’t make Friday night, they are also playing on Saturday.

Canadian Pacific Holiday Train at the Saratoga Springs  Amtrak Station - 7:20 pmKira Isabella and Wes Mack, two of Canada’s rising Country stars roll into town for a concert blasting from a stage built on the train. No kidding. Free, food and cash donations accepted to support local food banks.

Annie & The Hedonists at Caffe Lena - 8 pm

If you couldn’t make the Friday show, here’s your second chance.

The North and South Dakotas - One Caroline Street Bistro - 9 pm

Local Americana favorites play a mix of old-time american music, mountain folk and singer-songwriter traditions. Great food, great vibe and great music.
