What Would Daisy Do?

This time it's Daisy's turn to visit the Spa City...

Coming up on Saturday, May 30th, join supporters of The Wesley Community at the Saratoga Golf and Polo Club for A Black and White Affair – Gatsby Style presented by The Adirondack Trust Company. The evening will feature delicious food from Chef John Ireland at Saratoga Golf and Polo Club, décor from Fine Affairs, music from Funk Evolution, classic cars from The Saratoga Automobile Museum, a sundae bar featuring ice cream from Ben and Jerry’s of Saratoga, and photos against vintage backdrops provided by TapSnap. All of this vintage glamour will be put on to raise funds for The Wesley Community’s Springs building renovation.

All of this Gatsby talk has us wondering what the Great Gatsby characters would do if they were Saratogians, and today we ponder, What Would Daisy Do?

SHOP: Find her lingering at Silverwood Home and Gallery, adding item after item from the Monogram Bar, pausing to wonder what it would look like with a G instead of a B... She would also pop into Violet's for that gorgeous white drop waist BCBGeneration dress and some new Jack Rogers.

TRACK: She'll be in the paddock with Tom and his newest horse, afterward she can be found at the Reading Room, looking over Tom's shoulder to see if Gatsby has arrived, listening to Tom blather on about his polo ponies and whether it was going to rain that Sunday for the match.

DINE: Find Daisy with her legs tucked demurely under her on a picnic blanket while watching the NYC Ballet at SPAC while Jay gazes up at her, proffering more rosé and macarons from TC Paris Bakery, missing the entire performance. Lunchtime she would be at Mrs. London's, pushing lettuce leaves around in her delicate salad, paying more attention to her glass of white wine and ignoring her companion, who is not Jay, complaining about how she would rather be sitting at the back patio of the Adelphi, wishing it was open, drinking a champagne cocktail.

DRINK: Spot her at the Hattie's patio late night, in the corner remarking to Gatsby that her mojito is absolutely the most divine thing she's ever had. She could be found at Druthers with a nice strong vodka soda in her hand after an intense tennis lesson at McGregor Links with Miss Gwen.

PARTY: Find her at the SPAC Ballet Gala, wearing a gorgeous one of a kind Daniel Mozzes gown from Saratoga Trunk, walking alone to watch the performance far away from the party, an empty glass in her hand. She would most certainly be a lady who lunches, and would be spotted at the Flower and Fruit Luncheon, absentmindedly twirling a string of pearls around her finger, nonplussed that she forgot to wear a hat.

And of course, Daisy and Jay would be spotted avoiding the photographer at The Saratoga Golf and Polo Club at the Black and White Affair on May 30th.
