So why does Hattie's want you to do a little closet clean out...? Well, we spotted this event and practically squealed we thought it was such a fantastic idea!! On Thursday starting at 5pm, Hattie's will be hosting a pop-up clothing drive - they'll be collecting clothing, shoes and accessories, in all sizes/styles (pre-teen & up, and clean, of course!) for 'You are Loved'.
The organizers of "You are Loved" will use your donations for the monthly pop up shops they host for area LGBTQI Youth at the Boys & Girls Club of Albany. Many of the participants are low income and some are at risk homeless. 'You are loved' sets up their pop up shops like a boutique- participants (ages 13-20) are given a canvas bag to fill up with whatever they'd like, with no charge & are also offered free haircuts from area stylists. Especially at this time of year, who isn't in need of a closet clean-out?? Not to mention, who doesn't want a reason to spend Thursday night at Hattie's regardless? It is a total win-win - we'll see you there!
