Honoring these 3 'Changemakers' at a first of its kind event ..

We are so excited to be attending a brand new event next week celebrating  'Changemakers' in our community and honoring three different groups who represent the word. Presented by Wellspring, 'Changemakers- Champions for Change' is an exciting opportunity to recognize the people and communities who have the courage to inspire & execute social change while also empowering attendees to be Changemakers themselves. The event is being held at Saratoga National next Thursday, from 6:30-9:30pm, (click here for tickets!) & we love that this is more than just your run of the mill fundraising event. There will be delicious food & complimentary beer & wine for the first hour, (compliments of DeCrescente), as well as a great wine pull & silent auction, but the takeaway from the evening is even more significant.  Wellspring's goal is to inspire social change and end domestic violence and sexual assault & next Thursday's event will honor three Changemakers who are helping to do just that, as well as letting attendees sample several interactive programs that will inspire them to be Changemakers in their own communities.  The evening's honoree's truly exemplify the meaning of 'Changemakers' & they are..

The Hospitality Committee of the Saratoga Chamber of Commerce.  For 20 years the Hospitality Committee has helped local nonprofits by hosting the Bartenders’ Ball. We are recognizing three members of the  hospitality committee who have demonstrated leadership and commitment to their community throughout those 20 years: Mark Baker. John Baker and Dale Easter.

The Shenendehowa Central School District for their commitment to working with the community to proactively address issues affecting youth in the district.

Howard Connors, a community member in the Mechanicville area who demonstrated his commitment to helping domestic violence survivors by singlehandedly organizing a golf to raise funds for local organizations helping domestic violence survivors. The event has increased in participation and funds raised each year. Additionally he has been a role model for how one person can take action to make a difference.

We can't wait to attend this brand new event & hope you''ll join us next Thursday - click here for tickets & all the details-
